André de Jager

André had his life radically changed by Jesus as a young man of 17 and, as a result, finds great joy when anyone experiences that same change. André has a gift for teaching and preaching, which he often utilizes in creating video content as well.

Gary Smith

Gary has an incredible anointing for evangelism and, along with his wife Lynette, has been part of the heartbeat of Linkway for many years now.

Gavin van Heerden

Gavin has a passion for teaching and preaching the Bible, leading the Church and seeing people coming into a meaningful relationship with Jesus. In June 2026, Gavin went into retirement from the staff complement after nearly 32 years of faithful ministry. He now joins our marketplace team of elders.

Gavin and Val founded Linkway Church in 1995 and have led the church faithfully over the last two and a half decades until passing on the mantle of leadership.

They have three adult children and live in Edgemead.

Barrow Marillier

Barrow carries incredible wisdom, and has been part of Linkway since almost the very beginning.

Barrow and Rita have five adult children and live just outside Blouberg. Barrow is currently on sabbatical from eldership due to some health concerns.

Juriaan Fourie

Juriaan and Carolyn moved down to Cape Town from Port Elizabeth right around the time Linkway was moving into its building in Edgemead. Their son, Daniel, has spent most of his life growing up in the church and now lives in Dubai with his wife Denise. Juriaan has an anointing of discernment & wisdom, and has been part of the leadership for many years.

Juriaan is an avid photographer, and lives in Plattekloof Glen.

Kennedy Mulenga

Dr. Kennedy Mulenga holds a PhD in Practical Theology from the University of Pretoria and hails from Zambia. He, and his wife Elizabeth, have a strong pastoral gifting to care for people – which is exercised both in Linkway and at the Cape Town Baptist Seminary where Kennedy is on the faculty.

Mike Seeger

Mike has an awesome heart for shepherding people, and after many years in the workplace is now enjoying his retirement – which gives him more time to pour into the church of Jesus.

Rob Green

Rob has a massive passion for the small group ministry of the church, and after many years working for Telkom now works for Maersk where he makes use of his administrative gifting to bless that company.

Rencia Green

Rencia has an incredible passion for Jesus and young people. After joining the pastoral team in September 2023, she has been pastoring our teenagers and overseeing all of our next-gen ministry. Rencia is married to Jason and lives in Panorama

Brandon Townsend

Brandon joined the team as our new worship pastor in August 2026, after previously having been an intern at Linkway from 2013 to 2016. Brandon has a deep passion for Jesus and to help people see just how glorious He truly is – not only when we gather to sing, but in every sphere of life. Brandon, his wife Michelle, and their two boys currently live in Bothasig.

Hannah Visagie

Hannah has been part of Linkway for most of her life and is doing an internship with us for 2026. Although her primary responsibilities are with our Next Gen ministries (in Ignite, Sunday School and Revolve), Hannah has a passion for the church as a whole and is busy seeking the Lord regarding her future.

We are a vibrant small family who are passionate about growing in our relationship with the Lord where true friendships are formed, where we support one another through all trials and tribulations as well as celebrating each breakthrough and victory with joy and thanksgiving in our hearts to the Lord. Above all, we strive to honour the Lord, giving Him all the glory and praise in everything we say and do.

Johan and Maxine are passionate about creating a Christ-centred and welcoming space for people of all ages—a place where everyone can encounter God’s presence, be rooted in His Word, grow as disciples, and build authentic relationships.

Their heart is to encourage, equip, and journey alongside others as they grow in their faith and discover all that God has for them.

Johan is a self-taught artist who enjoys expressing his creativity, while Maxine is a self-taught baker who loves extending hospitality and creating a warm, welcoming environment.

We are a group of mature ladies that meet every Thursday morning. Ladies of all ages are welcome to join our fellowship which feels like family; full of love and care for each other. Our focus is on Jesus in every area of our lives and our aim is to guide us on this road of discovery and victory in our walk with our Lord. My prayer over our group is Ephesians 1:17, “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him…”

Our Link Group consists of retirees who meet Thursday mornings at 10am in Edgemead. We share life’s journey and support each other prayerfully. We have a time of worship singing the old choruses (from our times) and sharing testimonies and enjoy fellowship in a relaxed mode. God’s word is very important to us and we dig into it together while we become a family unit that loves Jesus. Every week we finish off with tea & coffee – and sometimes with something nice to eat!

We’re a group of about 12 mainly retired folk who meet at 7 pm on a Monday to praise our God, proclaim the truth of the gospel and sow into each other’s lives with a sense of belonging. We actively look after orphans, not only in Love Month but all year round endeavouring to live out Psalm 68:5, “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”
